John Rayner is Regional Director of HIMSS Analytics for Europe and Latin America prior to which he undertook a professional development role within HIMSS-UK.

John has an extensive 35 year career in the English National Health Service, he first entered in 1979 and qualified as a Registered Nurse shortly thereafter. John has broad NHS leadership experience having managed clinical services in Acute Trusts and then strategy in regional Health Authorities and Shared Service organisations.

John was the CIO for an acute Hospital Trust in the North of England and Director of The Health Informatics Services one of the largest and most successful IM&T shared service organisations in the UK.
